Clay QB Moore nabs first offer

Clay-Chalkville senior-to-be quarterback Hayden Moore has nabbed his first scholarship offer.
Middle Tennessee State University offered the dual-threat quarterback Wednesday.
Moore, who also plays on the varsity baseball team, is participating in next weekend’s Rivals Camp Series at Hoover High School.
As a junior, Moore completed 123 of 211 passes for 1,909 yards. He threw 18 touchdown passes to 11 interceptions. Moore rushed 143 times for 681 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Other area players participating in next weekend’s football camp include Clay-Chalkville seniors-to-be running back Sidney Battle and defensive lineman Jalen Harvey, and junior-to-be running back Terrelle West. Pinson Valley junior-to-be running back Nick Gibson has also been invited to the camp.
