Clay opens bids for debris removal The Clay City Council opened bids from 10 companies Monday night for disaster debris removal, reduction and disposal of the debris from the Jan. 23 tornado. Fifty bid invitations were initially sent out, but 10 companies responded. Business briefs: Foot Locker opens in Trussville Next to Belk in Trussville, where New Balance used to be, Foot Locker opened its doors on Wednesday. According to District Manager Craig Jones, the company had four stores in Century Plaza at one point. When they closed, a vacuum was left in this area for their product.
