Chuck Burns, an Allstate agent in Grayson Valley, is one of five Allstate agents out of 66 in the Birmingham area who won the National Conference Award.
Allstate gives these awards to those who excel in profitability, customer service and retention. Burns has been an Allstate agent for 30 years and has no plans to retire anytime soon.
He said this achievement is also because of the loyal and effective employees, including Tammy Burns, Chris Burns and Christi Schnetzler.
Accessorize Me closing this month
Trussville’s Accessorize Me announced on its Facebook page that it is closing June 30. Stephanie Motes said everything is on sale. The store on Glenn Avenue has jewelry, scarves, handbags and decorated mugs.
Piggly Wiggly remodeling
Clay’s Piggly Wiggly closed June 11 through today to do some remodeling and “move some things around,” said Jason Russell, one of the managers
. An announcement is expected Friday telling what is new at the store.
Boost Mobile opens in Trussville
Boost Mobile opened a store in Trussville, close to the Shell station across from Hooters off Highway 11. Store manager Adam Carden said the store is offering iPhones through Verizon in July. This is new for pre-paid service, Carden said. He said many are moving to pre-paid services because it is cheaper. The store offers phones and accessories.
