Pinson Councilman Joe Cochran announced Monday that he intends to run for re-election to the Pinson City Council in the Aug
. 28 election.
“After careful consideration I have decided to seek re-election for City Council of Pinson,” Cochran said. “I have been honored to be a part of growing the opportunities for the people of Pinson for the past several years and feel I still have much to contribute to the continued growth of our community.”
Cochran has served as a councilman in Pinson over eight years. He currently oversees Public Safety and Roads and Streets for the city.
“We have made inroads with our local park and recreation, opened a new library, developed relationships and cooperatives with the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, as well as the Palmerdale Homestead Community Center and many other things that have positively impacted the quality of life for my fellow residents of Pinson,” Cochran said. “I would like the opportunity to continue this rewarding service.”
Pinson citizens will be able to vote at Pinson United Methodist Church.
