Two Trussville natives won Miss Alabama preliminary pageants this month. Jordan Dailey, 23, was crowned Miss Center Point 2013 on Saturday, July 7, and Meschelle Stringer, 22, was crowned Miss Trussville 2013 on Sunday, July 8.
Dailey competed in a group of 25 contestants. She is a cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a 2007 graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School
.
“She will be attending Washington and Lee School of Law, where she will be a candidate for a Juris Doctor,” Pageant Director Tim Gann said. “Her career ambition is to practice international law in the area of human rights advocacy.”
Daily has competed twice in the Miss Alabama Pageant. She was fourth runner-up in Miss Alabama 2011 after winning the title of Miss Smiths Station 2011, and she made the Top 11 in Miss Alabama 2012 after winning the title of Miss Athens 2012.
Stringer competed in a group of 19 contestants in the Miss Trussville Pageant. She recently graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree and is a 2008 graduate of HTHS.
“Her career ambition is to be a field sales representative in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals,” Gann said.
Stringer has held four Miss Alabama preliminary titles. She held the titles of Miss Hamilton 2008, Miss Lake Martin 2009, Miss Tuscaloosa 2010 and Miss St. Clair Area 2011.
Both women will compete for the title of Miss Alabama 2013 next June.
