Authorities are investigating a burglary that took place Sunday night at the Pinson Valley Flea Market.
Police said the burglary happened between 8:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. last night, although it is unclear exactly what was stolen from the flea market.
Jack Self, with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, said that authorities are working to find a suspect.
“An evidence technician was sent out this morning to process the scene in hopes of developing a suspect,” he said.
Chris Card, who helps his mom Joanne run the flea market, said he believes the thieves had been to the flea market prior to the incident
.
“We think it was someone who’s been here before based on what they took,” Card said. “They stole a bunch of antique coins from a dealer of ours and some Alabama merchandise from a different vendor.”
The Pinson Valley Flea Market is located at 4286 Main St. in Pinson.
