Hewitt-Trussville Middle School held their annual Veterans Day ceremony Thursday in the auditorium. Students were encouraged to invite their family members or friends who have served in the military to attend.
The program included performances by the school choir. Bob Arnwine was the Keynote Speaker and Kenn Lass served as Master of Ceremonies.

Other veteran’s day programs are being held throughout the community.
The City of Clay will hold its second annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Monday Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Grayson Valley Country Club. All veterans and their guest are invited to attend this complimentary luncheon
. There will be a special guest speaker, patriotic music and special recognition of all military branches. A professional photographer will be available for the memorable event. Reservations are required for the event. Please call Clay City Hall at (205) 680-1223 for more details.
Paine Intermediate hosted a special Veteran’s Day lunch on Friday, Nov. 9 in the cafeteria.
Students were asked to invite a family member who is a veteran to join them for a special meal.
Pinson United Methodist Church also held a Veterans Day Luncheon at Pinson United Methodist Church. Local group Tableland, entertained the group with a bluegrass, gospel and patriotic concert.
