Eat Responsibly
This week, the Young Supporters Board of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center will be hosting “Sweet on a Cure” where 29 Birmingham area bakeries, cafes, restaurants and catering companies will be selling specially designated desserts with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support leading edge cancer research. Funds raised by Sweet on a Cure 2012 will specifically be used to support the work of promising young cancer investigators. Sweet on a Cure will help young investigators test new theories and lay the groundwork for advancing scientific discoveries that could lead to substantial federal grant funding, and possibly a cure.
