TRUSSVILLE, AL- Could you feel the rumble? Maybe or maybe not.
The earthquake reported by the U.S. Geological Survey only registered as 1.6 in magnitude. The epicenter was about 13 miles south of Trussville, just northwest of Lake Purdy.
According to the USGS website, the small quake occurred at 10:13 pm on Thursday.
Was it a real earthquake or a false alarm? According to the USGS website, the data will be reviewed by seismologists for conformation. If officials determine that the event wasn’t actually an earthquake, the report linked above will be deleted.
