Michael Rodda, senior catcher at Clay-Chalkville High School, signed his intent to play baseball at Huntingdon College in Montgomery on Dec. 4. The signing took place in the Clay-Chalkville Field House.
Last year, Huntingdon won the Great South Championship and barely missed playing in the NCAA playoffs. Next year, it joins the South Athletic Conference with the hope of changing last year’s fortune
.
At the signing, Rodda acknowledged his future to the audience.
“I am looking forward to my senior season with the Cougars and my future with the Hawks,” he said.
Rodda plans to study toward a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies/Exercise when begins at Huntingdon College in the fall of 2013.
