Four Clay-Chalkville football players and four from Pinson Valley have been named to Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State football teams

Clay-Chalkville junior wide receiver Brian Clark, senior kicker Robert Greene and senior defensive lineman Daniel Clayton made the Class 6A All-State team. Senior linebacker Brandon Fuller, a UAB verbal commitment, made the Honorable Mention team.

Pinson Valley senior running back/wide receiver A.J. Freeman and senior linebacker Zach Cunningham made the Class 5A All-State team. Senior wideout Earnest Robinson, an Auburn verbal commitment, and senior defensive back Harry Mason were named to the Honorable Mention squad.
Cunningham is one of three Class 5A finalists for the ASWA’s Lineman of the Year award, which will be announced at the ASWA’s annual Player of the Year banquet Jan. 16 in Montgomery.
