Neighborhood Sports Grille in Trussville has closed.
The restaurant’s manager retired and the silent partner didn’t want to run the business, according to Ponder Properties founder Terry Ponder. The business closed when the lease expired, Ponder said.
Ponder said Ponder Properties, which handles leasing in the Trussville Plaza shopping center, doesn’t yet have possession of the space but has begun marketing it.
The restaurant space, located on Highway 11 near Interstate 459, is 4,831 square feet and is already built out to be a restaurant.
According to Neighborhood Sports Grille’s website, William Head and Jim Love decided in 2000 to open a restaurant in which people could come and enjoy food and sports
.
The menu consisted of chicken wings, salads, steaks, burgers, sandwiches and seafood. The restaurant had two 10-foot projection screen TVs and 14 other TVs lining the walls.
It is not yet known what business may occupy the former sports grille.
