University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban reportedly visited Clay-Chalkville and Pinson Valley high schools today.
Saban also reportedly visited Hoover High School today, among others.
Saban led Alabama to its second consecutive BCS National Championship last Monday, its third in four seasons.
Local recruiting tidbits
Two Clay-Chalkville seniors are committed to play at the next level in the fall. Linebacker Brandon Fuller is committed to UAB and wide receiver DeAndre Woods is committed to Vanderbilt. A couple other seniors could sign to play at the college level on National Signing Day on Feb. 6.
Pinson Valley has a couple high-profile senior recruits in wide receiver Earnest Robinson and linebacker Zach Cunningham
. Robinson is an Auburn verbal commitment and Cunningham hasn’t yet decided on his college destination, and has offers from Tennessee, Oregon, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Auburn, Ole Miss and Miami, among others, according to Rivals.com. Running back Nick Gibson, a class of 2015 prospect, has a scholarship offer from Mississippi State.
Hewitt-Trussville senior defensive back Luke Davis is committed to play next season at Southern Mississippi, according to 247Sports.com.
