The Jefferson County Boys’ Basketball Tournament gets under way today at Hueytown High School.
Fifth-seeded Pinson Valley takes on fourth-seeded Shades Valley at 1:30 p.m. The winner will get the winner of the No. 1 Center Point vs. No. 8 Pleasant Grove/No. 9 Hueytown game Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
No. 2 Clay-Chalkville opens the tournament today against No. 7 Gardendale at 3 p.m. Should Clay-Chalkville win, it will face the winner of No. 3 Minor vs. No. 6 McAdory on Thursday at 6 p.m

The boys’ championship game is Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Jefferson County Girls’ Basketball Tournament begins Tuesday at Shades Valley High School.
Clay-Chalkville opens the tournament against Hueytown on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. The winner faces the winner of the Center Point vs. Mortimer Jordan game.
Pinson Valley opens the tournament against Minor on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The winner faces top-seeded Shades Valley on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The girls’ championship game is Friday at 7:30 p.m.
