One man is dead and three are injured after a motorcycle collided head on with a car on Clay-Palmerdale Road.
Deputies responded at about 6:40 p.m. to Clay-Palmerdale Road and Stone Briar Trace concerning a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and car. The adult male driver of the motorcycle was dead on the scene, said Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Christian.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of the motorcycle was traveling west on Clay-Palmerdale Road when he attempted to pass approximately four vehicles, Christian said. The motorcycle collided with a vehicle that was traveling east.

. Vincent’s Hospital. An 8-year-old female passenger in the car was airlifted to Children’s Hospital. A 5-year-old male passenger in the car was transported by ambulance to Children’s.
