The National Weather Service in Birmingham revised its hazardous weather outlook for Jefferson and St. Clair counties at about 1:30 p.m Tuesday for tonight and Wednesday.
The latest information says severe thunderstorms and isolated tornadoes are possible beginning after 3 a.m
. Wednesday for areas along and west of a line from Oneonta to Birmingham to Perryville to Linden. Windy conditions can also be expected for all of central Alabama after 6 p.m. tonight. Sustained winds of 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are possible. Higher elevation locations of eastern and northeastern Alabama could see wind gusts of up to 50 mph as early as midnight Tuesday.
Trussville City Schools will delay opening by three hours and buses will run three hours later than normal on Wednesday morning. Jefferson County Schools will do the same.
