Hewitt-Trussville dominated the Class 6A, Section 3 wrestling tournament at Gardendale on Friday and Saturday, winning the tournament by 37 points over the secon-place finisher.
Hewitt-Trussville finished with 197 team points, Oxford had 160 and Clay-Chalkville finished third with 104.
For Hewitt-Trussville, Heath Williamson (106), Davis Perry (138), Luke Mastro (145), Kevin Elmore (170), Marcus Elkins (182) and Arnoree Sanders (195) won their weight classes.
Dalton Meadows (132), Fred Denson (152) and Braxton Busby (285) had second-place finishes for Hewitt-Trussville. Nathaniel Campbell (160) had a third-place showing. Fourth-place finishers included Hunter Shoop (113) and Reece Argo (126).
For Clay-Chalkville, Nick Weldon won the 160-pound weight class
. Second-place finishers for Clay-Chalkville included Jack Dobbins (138), Clay Hughes (182) and Josh Henderson (195). Third-place finishers included Spencer Gargus (126) and Hunter Duke (170). Austin Weldon finished fourth in the 145-pound weight class.

Pinson Valley finished second in the Class 5A, Section 1 tournament at Homewood. Benjamin Russell won the tournament with 195.5 team points. Pinson Valley totaled 190.5.
Patrick Tenney (106), Zach Kusiak (113), Hank Turner (126), Malik Melton (195) and Jonathan Duke (220) all won their weight classes for Pinson Valley.
Brandon Adams finished third in the 170-pound class, and Blake Treglown (132), Deon Gregory (145) and Cory Taylor (160) all had fourth-place finishes.
All these wrestlers qualify for the state wrestling tournament, which is Feb. 14-16 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville.
