Hewitt-Trussville Middle School’s Science Olympiad team brought home four medals at a competition last month.
Jackson Weyhe and Evan Blackwell took first place in the Write It, Do It competition. Wei Nin Guo and Naqi Raza took second places in the Mouse Trap Vehicle competition.
Science Olympiad students participate in challenging and fun events to learn scientific problem solving in a team environment.
The middle school this year had three small teams with students from sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Students chose events and then prepared by researching, conducting experiments, solving problems, and designing and building instruments
