Pinson Valley and Locust Fork exchanged the lead five times Monday, but the Lady Indians ended up on top with a 7-6 win in seven innings over Locust Fork.
Pinson Valley pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning
. The Lady Indians scored on a two-run double by Nicole Fisher, bringing home Amber Howard and Lauren Tralongo.
Howard paced the Indians at the plate. Howard went 2-for-4, drove in one run and scored one run. She singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Howard recorded the win for the Lady Indians even though she allowed six runs over seven innings. She struck out four, walked four and surrendered seven hits.
