Hewitt-Trussville is No. 8 in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings, released today.
The Huskies (14-3) have reeled off nine straight wins since a March 2 loss to Pinson Valley.
Pinson Valley, ranked No. 9 last week in the first Class 5A rankings, came in at No. 8 this week. The Indians (11-6) lost in Wednesday’s Jefferson County Tournament championship to Gardendale, 2-0.

Hewitt-Trussville travels to Chiles and Lincoln high schools in Florida next week for a spring break tournament
. Pinson Valley travels to Tallahassee, Fla., for a spring break tournament.
