After losing its first two games of last week’s Florida/Alabama Baseball Challenge in Tallahassee, Fla., Pinson Valley reeled off three consecutive wins to finish the spring break tournament.
After losing 4-3 to Wakulla (Fla.) and 10-0 to Coffee County (Ga.) high schools, Pinson Valley defeated Lincoln (Fla.) 6-5, Maclay (Fla.) 1-0 and Chiles (Fla.) 5-4.
In the 6-5 win over North Florida Christian, senior Colby Wingard earned the complete game win. Senior Bailey Chesser, an Auburn signee, played the designated hitter position and had a go-ahead, two-run hit in the top of the seventh inning to give Pinson Valley the 6-5 win.

Junior pitcher Zac Ray earned the complete game win in the 1-0 victory over Maclay. The lone run came in the fourth inning when Jason Little singled in Robert St. John.
In the Indians’ final game, senior Tyler Evans’ RBI triple in the top of the seventh inning scored senior Scott Falkinburg to give Pinson Valley the win. Senior Wyatt Burns closed out the game, giving Chesser the win. Senior Gracen Armstrong was 3-for-4 with two doubles in the win.
Pinson Valley plays two games on the road Thursday, traveling to Center Point for a 4:30 p.m. area matchup, then traveling to Clay-Chalkville for a 7 p.m. game
. The Indians will host Pleasant Grove and Hewitt-Trussville on Saturday.
