The Jefferson County Board of Education on Thursday approved a calendar for the 2013-2014 school year.
The first day of school for students will be Aug. 19, and the last day and graduation will be May 29, 2014.
The Christmas holiday break will begin Dec. 23. Students will return from that break Jan
. 6, 2014.
The 2014 spring break holiday will be March 24, 2013, through March 28, 2013, though March 31 is listed as a teacher workday, which means students don’t return from spring break until April 1.
The Jefferson County School System includes schools in the Clay, Chalkville and Pinson areas.
There are three options for the 2013-2014 school calendar for Trussville City Schools.
