Friday- Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a slight chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 56. West wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham says there is a chance of severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes late tonight, after 11 p.m., across the far west central part of Alabama. From 2 a.m
. through 5 a.m. severe storms will be generally west of a Gadsden to Selma line. From 5 a.m. through 7 a.m. severe storms should remain west of a line from Roanoke to Dadeville to Montgomery.
The chance of severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will continue Friday morning after sunrise, through noon time as the system moves east of I-65. However, some decrease in intensity of storms is anticipated as the morning progresses.
