Time for a rematch.
No. 6 Pinson Valley drilled Moody 10-0 in the third round of the Class 5A soccer playoffs Saturday at Willie Adams Stadium and will face No. 7 St. Paul’s in the state semifinals Friday at John Hunt Field in Huntsville. The game will start at 3:30 p.m.
Pinson Valley fell 6-1 in the state semifinals against St. Paul’s last year.
“We got embarrassed,” second-year Pinson Valley head coach Chris Mills said earlier this year.

Mills said last year’s team was just happy to be in the final four, but this year’s team looks to be competitive and vie for the state championship.
Against Moody on Saturday, the Indians (15-5-4) got a hat trick from Sam Shaw, two goals from Hunter Middleton, and one each from Jordan Walton, Josh Almandarez, Gio Molina, Will McPherson and Preston Dixon
.
Pinson Valley has outscored its two playoff opponents — Paul Bryant and Moody — 18-0.
Should Pinson Valley defeat St. Paul’s (15-8-3) on Friday, it will face the winner of No. 1 Athens (22-0-1) vs. No. 2 Briarwood Christian (19-5-3) on Saturday for the state championship.
