Clay-Chalkville will host Pinson Valley in both teams’ spring football game Thursday.
Kickoff at Cougar Stadium will be at 6 p.m.
Clay-Chalkville head football coach Jerry Hood said the game will be a modified scrimmage, a game in which plays are replayed and younger players get significant playing time.

Clay-Chalkville posted a 12-2 record last season, reaching the Class 6A semifinals before losing to eventual state champion Hoover. Clay-Chalkville will travel to Decatur on Aug. 23 for its jamboree game. It hosts rival Hewitt-Trussville on Aug. 30 for the season opener.
Pinson Valley posted an 8-4 record in 2012 and reached the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs before losing to Muscle Shoals. Pinson Valley will travel to Hewitt-Trussville on Aug. 23 for its jamboree game and travels to 2012 Class 4A runner-up Oneonta for its season opener Aug. 30.
