The Trussville City Board of Education is expected to vote May 20 on the name of the new high school football stadium behind the Trussville Civic Center.
The meeting at the Central Office is at 6 p.m.
The name of the stadium Trussville City Board of Education President Bill Roberts suggested at the May 6 meeting was Hewitt-Trussville Stadium.
Trussville City Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill said the board will get feedback before voting on the name May 20
.
At the May 6 meeting, Athletics Director Karen Johns said she liked the name Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. Roberts said it was identifiable.
Jack Wood Stadium on Parkway Drive has been in place since 1949, and the 2013 high school football season will be the last there. The new stadium is expected to be open for the 2014 high school football season.
