Two Hewitt-Trussville athletes placed in Tuesday’s AHSAA Decathlon Championship in Hoover.
Luc Riddle finished seventh overall and Jacob Rushing finished 33rd out of close to 60 athletes.
Riddle finished 18th in the 100-meter dash decathlon, sixth in the 400-meter dash decathlon, 18th in the 1,500-meter run decathlon, 27th in the 110-meter hurdles, tied for fourth in the high jump, 11th in the pole vault, tied for 36th in the long jump, sixth in shot put, fourth in the discus throw and 20th in the javelin throw.
Rushing finished 20th in the 100-meter dash, 25th in the 400-meter dash, 17th in the 1,500-meter run, 22nd in the 110-meter hurdles, eighth in pole vault, 42nd in the long jump, 16th in shot put, 49th in the discus throw and 34th in the javelin throw.
