Scholarships for area high school seniors have surpassed the $11 million mark.
As of May 14, 61 Clay-Chalkville High School seniors had earned 136 scholarships totaling $5.03 million, according to Jefferson County Schools.
As of the same date, 44 Pinson Valley High School seniors had earned 82 scholarships totaling $2.3 million, according to Jefferson County Schools.
As of today, Hewitt-Trussville High School seniors had earned .1 million in scholarships, according to Trussville City Schools.
The total scholarship money among the three schools is .44 million.
Clay-Chalkville’s graduation is today at 2 p.m. at the Pete Hanna Center at Samford University. Pinson Valley will hold its graduation ceremony today at 4 p.m. at Cathedral of the Cross. Hewitt-Trussville’s graduation is at 7 p.m. today at Jack Wood Stadium.
