The Fred’s Super Dollar Store in Clay was robbed just before 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jack Self said two suspects entered the store in the 6500 block of Deerfoot Parkway with handguns and demanded cash from the employees.
Self said the suspects were described as a black male and a black female. Both had their faces covered with a black bandana, Self said.
Self said the duo left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The sheriff’s office is investigating.
