Two Pinson Valley football players signed scholarships last week.
Outgoing seniors running back A.J. Freeman and defensive back Mondeno Gibson signed scholarships to play football in college.
Freeman, a 5-foot-6, 148-pound back, signed with Faulkner University. Freeman was a Class 5A All-State player in 2012 as a senior. He was named a North All-Star team member for the July 18 North-South All-Star game at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery last week.

Gibson, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back, signed with Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky. Gibson was also named a North All-Star team member for the July 18 North-South All-Star game at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery last week.
On National Signing Day in February, Pinson Valley wide receiver Earnest Robinson signed with Auburn, linebacker Zach Cunningham signed with Vanderbilt and safety Jeffery Blair signed with Faulkner.
