The third annual Clay Fishing Rodeo is set for Saturday at Cosby Lake Park.
The rodeo will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Rods and reels for kids ages 12 and under are free. Children ages 12 and under get to keep the rod and reel.
Clay Mayor Charles Webster said Cosby Lake will be stocked this week with 1,200 pounds of catfish and that two fishing areas will be set up.
More than 200 children participated in last year’s fishing rodeo.
Last year, the city gave away prizes to every child that caught a fish. The prizes ranged from fishing lures, bobbers and hooks to tackle boxes and T-shirts. This year will act similarly, Webster said.
There may also be a fish weigh-in Saturday, Webster said.
