The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its sixth annual golf tournament on June 24 at Limestone Springs Golf Course in Oneonta.
The shotgun scramble format tournament will begin at 8 a.m.
A $150 per person registration fee or $500 for a foursome will include 18 holes of golf, $70 in merchandise credit to the pro shop at Limestone, lunch, range balls, golf cart, and a goody bag.
A portion of the proceeds from the tournament help to fund the chamber’s scholarship program. This year’s recipients have been announced and, for the first time, the scholarships will be renewable for up to four years with a “B” average. Those who will receive scholarships to the school of their choice are Celia Rudd, DeVante’ Dawson, Jackson Howle and Molly Reeves.
A chance to win $10,000 will be offered for the first hole-in-one on hole No. 5 and is sponsored by The Grogan Agency.
State Sen. Slade Blackwell will be on hand as the tournament’s celebrity golfer.
