The Trussville City Council on Tuesday approved engineering for two culvert replacements.
The city council approved agreements with Schoel Engineering for designing the needed improvements to the Green Drive and Vann Road areas.
Both Green Drive and Vann Road need culvert replacements.
The Trussville City Council approved engineering for Green Drive at a cost of ,600 and for Vann Road at a cost of ,500.
City Clerk Lynn Porter said the projects have not yet been bid and will need to be before construction can begin.
A culvert on Green Drive collapsed last month, closing the street from Norrell Drive to Trussville-Clay Road. The city of Trussville contacted engineers shortly after the collapse.
Green Drive remains closed until further notice.
