The Trussville City Council last week approved additional engineering services for the Husky Parkway extension and improvements to Trussville-Clay Road.
The council approved LBYD Civil and Structural Engineers to perform drawing revisions on the southern portion and box culverts for the Husky Parkway extension. The council approved up to $24,500 for this work.
The council also approved $54,800 for LBYD to perform additional services for Trussville-Clay Road improvements. These improvements include improving one side of the bridge over the interstate.
The other side of the bridge falls under an Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program announced last year by Gov. Robert Bentley, which includes turn lanes on Trussville-Clay Road and signalization at Husky Parkway. The ,800 is part of the city’s 20 percent match for the project.
That project’s timetable will be determined by the Alabama Department of Transportation.
