The U11 Husky lacrosse team ended its second season with an 8-2 record during the regular season and finishing third in the playoffs.
“Lacrosse, often referred to as the fastest sport on two feet, originally was played by Native American tribes to settle disputes,” said head coach Kris Knisely. “It takes speed, strength and endurance, but also honor and a warrior’s heart. Our boys displayed these traits playing against teams with much more experience. The entire coaching staff is very proud of our young Huskies.”

The team’s success is impressive in just its second year.
“We could not have done it without the parents” said Judy Bailey, president of Trussville Lacrosse. “Whether it was putting assistant coaches on the field or working the concession stand, the parents made it happen.”
Bailey said work is ongoing for next season. There will be a Lacrosse Day in October.
