A new track is coming for Pinson Valley High School.
Battle-Miller Construction won a bid for track replacement for a total cost of $295,800, according to Jefferson County Schools. With engineering fees, the total cost is $326,768.
The next-highest bids were for $345,477 and $346,569.
The track circles the football field at Willie Adams Stadium.
The project will be funded with local capital outlay and Jefferson County Commission grant funds, according to Jefferson County Schools.
An email sent to Battle-Miller Construction seeking information about the project went unreturned last week. Pinson Valley High School head football coach Matt Glover did not return a message left last week.
