The district governor for District 6860 visited the Trussville Daybreak Club on June 26.
Governor Martin Uptain complimented the club on its past service to the community and abroad and encouraged the group to stay on its current course.
“The club can be proud of its service to the Trussville area and of its projects outside the community such as the Braille project in Jamaica,” Uptain said.
Among other projects that the Trussville Rotary Club has coordinated or in which it has participated are a Habitat for Humanity home, weekly reading during the school year at Paine Primary School, Camp Smile-A-Mile and Trussville City Fest.
The Trussville Rotary Club meets at 7 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Courtyard by Marriott located at 3665 Roosevelt Blvd. in Trussville.
