The Hewitt-Trussville summer basketball camp will be July 29 through Aug. 2 at the high school’s Bryant Bank Arena.
The camp, for boys and girls entering first grade through eighth grade, will last each day from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The gym will open at 7 a.m. each day for drop-off and close at 2 p.m. for pickup.
The cost of the camp is $100.
T-shirts will be included with registration. The camper of the week will win a pair of Nike basketball shoes.
Camp instructors will be Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls head basketball coach Stu Stuedeman, Hewitt-Trussville varsity girls assistant coach Courtney Carruth, and current and former Hewitt-Trussville players.
Camp instruction includes shooting, ball handling, rebounding, defensive work, passing and teamwork. The goal is to introduce the fundamentals of basketball and help develop the skills necessary for being successful in the sport.
