The 2013 Cougar Kickoff Classic will be Saturday at Cougar Stadium on the Clay-Chalkville High school campus.
Scrimmages will begin with the Clay Youth League, followed by the Clay-Chalkville Middle School team, freshman football team and Clay-Chalkville High School varsity team.
The middle school team last season posted a 1-7 record. The team faces Rudd Middle School on Aug. 22 in its jamboree game and opens the regular season Aug. 29 at home against Simmons Middle School.

The varsity squad posted a 12-2 record last season, reaching the Class 6A semifinals before losing 44-20 to Hoover, one game shy of the state championship.
Tickets can be purchased from Clay-Chalkville Middle School players for $7.
