The football teams from Hewitt-Trussville Middle and Hewitt-Trussville High schools will scrimmage Friday.
From 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., the Hewitt-Trussville Middle School seventh- and eighth-grade teams will scrimmage, splitting the field at Jack Wood Stadium.
The freshman football team will scrimmage from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Hewitt-Trussville’s Hal Riddle will begin his 12th season as the Huskies’ head football coach this season. Of his 145 career wins, 74 have come at Hewitt-Trussville.

The varsity and junior varsity teams from Hewitt-Trussville High School will scrimmage at 7 p.m.
The seventh- and eighth-grade teams open the 2013 season at home against Bumpus on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The freshman and junior varsity teams host Pinson Valley on Aug. 23 and open the regular season Sept. 2 at home against Clay-Chalkville. The varsity team hosts Pinson Valley in the jamboree Aug. 23 and opens the regular season Aug. 30 with a 7 p.m. game at rival Clay-Chalkville.
