A former Clay-Chalkville standout has earned a scholarship at Auburn.
Dimitri Reese, a walk-on football player, posted on Twitter on Wednesday that he had earned a scholarship for this season.
“Hard work pays off,” Reese’s Twitter post partly read.
According to www.auburntigers.com, Reese in high school blocked a field goal and returned it 84 yards for a touchdown, and returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown, in the same game.
In high school, Reese also lettered in basketball, was Student Government Association president, was a member of the National Honor Society and was a Fellowship of Christian Athletes youth leader.
