Pinson Valley standout junior running back Nick Gibson was held out of Friday’s jamboree at Hewitt-Trussville with a shoulder injury.
Pinson Valley head football coach Matt Glover said Gibson had a slight sprain in his right shoulder that wouldn’t keep him out of a regular season game. Gibson suffered the injury about two weeks ago, Glover said. Gibson should be on the field next Friday in the season opener at Class 4A No. 2 Oneonta.
Gibson holds scholarship offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Mississippi State and Tennessee.
