Struggling with how to pay for your child’s college education? Interested in learning about various loans, scholarships and grants?
Next Thursday at 6:30 p.m., the Trussville Public Library, in conjunction with the public libraries in Clay and Pinson, will present “Paying for College.” Assistant Professor of Finance at UAB, Andreas Rauterkus, Ph.D., will present a one-hour seminar at the Clay Community Center.
The program is free and open to the public.
Rauterkus, whose research projects have been funded by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, has been published in the Commercial Lending Review and other scholarly publications.
The Jefferson County Library Cooperative, the consortium of public libraries in Jefferson County, was one of 14 public libraries nationwide chosen through a competitive process to win a grant from the American Library Association in partnership with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Investor Education Foundation. This grant will enable the public libraries of Jefferson and Shelby counties to provide effective, unbiased financial and investor education to the community.
