A Warrior man has died as a result of an interstate accident that occurred Wednesday near Trussville.
Jerry Vincent O’Quinn, 37, died as a result of injuries he sustained in the accident, said Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
Yates said his understanding is that O’Quinn’s pickup truck lost a wheel, left the roadway and rolled several times on the southbound side of I-459 near the Derby Parkway exit. The victim was ejected from the vehicle, Yates said.
The accident occurred about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. O’Quinn died at UAB Hospital at about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, Yates said.
An investigation is ongoing.
