The Clay Historical Society on Thursday will host Fay Crawford, who will speak on the United States Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Clay United Methodist Church.
Crawford was a member of the Corps and is memorialized at the World War II memorial in Washington, D.C.
The public is invited to the free event, in which Crawford will deliver a presentation. The society is also seeking information on any other members of the Corps, as Crawford is not aware of any other survivors in the area.
Light refreshments will be served, said Clay Historical Society Secretary/Treasurer Bianca Allen.
Crawford and her husband, Bernard, are lifelong Clay residents who have been married 65 years. Bernard served in Italy during World War II.
