Trussville-based US Shredder and Castings Group recently announced that its fourth annual “Castings for a Cure” campaign began this month.
During October, a portion of the company’s castings sales will be donated to organizations that support breast cancer research.
The donations will be contributed in honor of US Shredder and Castings Group President Bill Tigner’s wife, Carla, a breast cancer survivor.
“Once again, we are extremely honored to be able to continue the fight against breast cancer with the help of our customers for a fourth year,” Tigner said. “We are fortunate that we have three survivors in our family, a result of God’s blessings and remarkable research programs.”
“Turn Trussville Pink” will be held throughout Trussville on Wednesday. There will be a “pink out” at Thursday’s Hewitt-Trussville Middle School football game against Homewood, and there will be another “pink out” at Friday’s Hewitt-Trussville High School football game against Mountain Brook.
