The second annual Husky Hoops Midnight Madness event is Friday at Bryant Bank Arena at Hewitt-Trussville High School.
The event begins at 10 p.m. Admission is $2. Students receive a hot dog and drink.
The Hewitt-Trussville Middle School, junior varsity and ninth-grade teams and coaches will be introduced first.
At 10:28 p.m., the varsity teams and coaches will be introduced.
A 3-point competition will follow at 11:03 p.m. The student champion of the competition will receive a $50 gift card for the Husky House.
At 11:23 p.m., the varsity girls will scrimmage. The varsity boys will scrimmage at 11:39 p.m. and a half-court shot raffle will occur at 11:55 p.m.
The varsity girls team compiled a 10-21 record last season under head coach Stu Stuedeman. The varsity boys team posted a 15-16 record last season under head coach Zane Arnold. The team will be coached this season by Mike Dutton.
