An area Boy Scouts troop is sponsoring an electronics recycling day Saturday in Clay.
The Boy Scouts Troop 845 in Trussville will be holding the recycling day at the old Clay City Hall building on Old Springville Road near Clay Elementary School. It will last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Boy Scouts can accept old appliances, electronics devices, computers, hard drives and LCD displays. No glass-tube televisions will be accepted due to the mercury in them.
The Boy Scouts can destroy hard drives from computers as part of the process.
