The Trussville Police Department is investigating a case of a pumpkin thrown at a mailbox.
Lt. Jeff Bridges said a mailbox in the Hidden Trace subdivision was struck by a pumpkin sometime Monday.
Bridges said there are no suspects in the case. Criminal mischief charges could be filed.
The case remains under investigation.
Some Trussville residents reported on the Facebook group “What’s Happening in Trussville” that they saw remnants of smashed pumpkins throughout the Hidden Trace neighborhood. A Magnolia Place resident said two of the pumpkins at her home were allegedly stolen.
