Area Veterans Day events are scheduled for this weekend.
Paine Intermediate School students will have lunch with veterans Friday. There will also be decorations around the school.
On Sunday, there will be a “Pray for our Nation” gathering at 4 p.m. at Triangle Park in Pinson. Everyone is invited to the event, which is sponsored by the local churches. For more information about the event, contact Palmerdale United Methodist Church at 205-681-9762.
The city of Clay will present its third annual Veterans Day Luncheon on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grayson Valley Country Club. Veterans can bring a guest to the free event. Register by calling Clay City Hall at 205-680-1223.
The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club is selling yellow bows for and next Wednesday morning will host Alabama Power Vice President of Corporate Services Bob Weaver at 7 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn in Trussville. Contact any Rotary Daybreak Club member about the bows.
